Located in Sonoma County, the heart of the Northern California Wine country, Aquariums by Coral Life was founded by Rick Young, an avid hobbyist who was disappointed with the level of service, knowledge, and expertise available from the local fish stores in his area. Motivated by his love of the hobby and the obvious need for quality service and advice, he opened up shop in 1986. Since then, a lot has changed in the aquarium trade, but the basic idea behind Aquariums by Coral Life has remained the same.
