Tuition and Fees

IMMERSION PROGRAM     The tuition for Pop Wuj is $160 per week from mid-May through August and during January. Off-season tuition is $140 per week. This fee covers the entire program, including instructional time, room and board with the student's Guatemalan family, and school activities. Students who elect not to house themselves with a local family should deduct $30 from this weekly tuition. Tuition is paid directly to the school upon arrival in Guatemala. Details can be found on the application.

Registration Fee     In lieu of a registration fee, there is a mandatory $65 donation that supports projects at Pop Wuj. This contribution must accompany your application and be sent via the PayPal link on the Confirmation page. Please note this tax deductible contribution is not applied toward the tuition.

EXCURSION PROGRAM 

  • $1000 per person

  • Minimum number of participants: 10 persons

Tuition includes:

  • One-on-one classes

  • Room and board.  Students stay in Xela with families.

  • Contacts

  • Bilingual guides services at sites of interest

  • Public transportation

  • Airfare: Guatemala City-Flores; Flores-Guatemala City

  • Translation services during lectures and other activities

The tuition does NOT provide:

  • The cost of meals on the various trips

  • The cost of hotels (except for the Fuentes Georginas)

  • Admission costs at the parks: TIKAL or ABAJ TAKALIK

  • Airfare to Guatemala

Deposit     A nonrefundable deposit of $100 per participant in the form of a money order or personal check made out to Centro de Estudios Pop Wuj is required with the application to reserve your place.

                       

The balance of the payment can be made upon arrival at the school and os acceptable in the following forms:  Money orders made out to Centro de Estudios de Espaņol Pop Wuj, Travelerīs checks, cash, or Credit Card (a surcharge of 10% will be added for the use of credit cards).
